I got tagged.
Charlotte Jane Ivory tagged me on Twitter. I always wondered what it felt like to get tagged...and now I know.
Thank you, Charlotte. =)

If you could go back in time and relive one moment, what would it be?
Well, I'm a mother, so naturally my first thought is reliving the moment my son was born...but he was 3 months premature and I had to to have an emergency c-section. I woke up in the recovery room to my husband holding a polaroid picture of a tiny blonde-headed baby boy with a mask over his eyes and tubes and wires going everywhere. My vision was still blurry from the meds, but I cried just the same as if I was holding him in my arms.
So maybe that's not the exact moment I want to relive since I barely lived through it the first time. What I want to relive are those lost moments of toddler-hood that I remember now so vividly as I look at my just-turned-fifteen blonde-headed son. ;o)
If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?
Nothing. I am a firm believer that everything that happened--big stuff, small stuff, good, and bad--brought me to where I am today. If I had not made some of the mistakes I made, I might not have met my wonderful husband...if some horrible event hadn't happened in our lives, we might not have our beautiful son. It all comes down to making the best decisions at the time with what you have and trusting in the rest to come. =)
What movie/TV character do you most resemble in personality?
Probably Elena from Vampire Diaries--because I love Stefan and Damon! ;o)
No, but seriously...maybe Claire Dunphy from Modern Family...because she loves her kids, husband, and family so much--but they drive her crazy.
I can *so* relate! ;o)
If you could push one person off a cliff and get away with it, who would it be?
Y'know, it's funny...I would never ever want to hurt anyone, much less off them totally...but immediately after I read this question, someone did come to mind. ;o)
My official answer is no one...but I do hope karma's been paying attention.
Name one habit you want to change in yourself.
Procrastination.
Who knows how many loads of laundry could've been done by now...how many drawers and closets could've been organized...how many books could've been written?!
We'll never know. And that sucks.
So yes, I would change that.
Describe yourself in one word.
Empathetic.
No, not pathetic...em-pathetic. I am very sensitive to the emotions of others and tend to take them on myself (often to my detriment). I think this helps with my writing, though, as I can "take on" the emotions of my characters and really experience the story through their eyes.
Describe the person who named you in this meme in one word.
Promethean. =)
Why do you blog? Answer in one sentence.
I like to talk...about writing, about life, about lots of other stuff--but mainly writing--and my husband works a lot, my son couldn't give a flip about writing, and none of my in-person friends are writers...so I blog and let it all out. (a run-on sentence is still a sentence!) ;o)
Name at least 3 people to send this meme to, and inform them.

paxamo,
Your answers are awesome. I giggled several times while reading.
ReplyDeleteI also had a ginormous "aha!" moment when I read your "which character" answer. If I'd been thinking straight when I did this meme, I'd have probably marked myself a "Claire."
I'd also have skipped tagging. I woke up the next morning and went, "Aw, shoot! I want to read everyone's answers! :p
Thanks, Deb! =)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize you'd already done this meme...I almost tagged you! ;o) I know what you mean...I love reading people's answers, too. I'm nosy like that. ;o)

ReplyDeleteOh, and I noticed that you're a homeschooling mum? My mum's been homeschooling me since forever =] It's nice to find others out there doing the same thing!
